1. Revision of Pension/Family Pension and revision of PPOs:
In terms of Para 4 of Min. of Finance O.M. No.38/37/08-P&PW(A).Pt.1 dated 14th Oct 2008, the pension disbursing banks should send intimation regarding disbursement of revised pension to the office of CPAO and concerned Accounts Officer (in our case RDSO) who issued the PPOs, in the revised form given at Annexure-III and obtain acknowledgement from them. Based on this information, RDSO will issue the revised PPOs based on the recommendations of the 6th CPC. The revised form as Annexure-III can be copied/downloaded from HERE!. If one can manage to get the family pension disbursement details from the Bank in Annexure-III and enclose a copy along with the Form of Application (see para. below), the issue of revised pension/family pension and PPOs may become easy for RDSO.
In addition, the pensioners should send an application in the Form of Application (copy/download the form of application from HERE! as prescribed by RDSO to enable the pensioners to apply for issue of the revised PPOs. If possible the pensioners can obtain a copy of the Annexure-III details from their concerned Bank and enclose a Xerox copy of the same along with the Form of Application to RDSO. This may expedite the issue of revised PPOs indicating the pension and family pension.

Item (A) Under Part-A of Ann-III: Fill up the amounts of Basic Pension as given in the PPO after V-CPC (as on 01-01-1996).

Other general tips for Pensioners:
- All Pensioners, in their own interest, should get their Pension Account with Banks as Joint Accounts (i.e. E or S) along with their spouses, if not already done, as against the sole Account in the name of Pensioner only. This is now permitted by the Banks.
- The Pensioners may do well to keep their spouses and children well informed about the PPOs and other papers relating Passes, Pass ID Cards, Medical ID Cards, etc.
- They may acquaint their spouses and children about the procedures for obtaining PR passes as well as getting free medical facilities from the hospitals/dispensaries with whom they had registered for the purpose.
- They may post questions on any subject in the Forum for the knowledgeable to reply.
